With Easter right around the corner I thought I'd share what I did last year with the kids
This was an 'egg'straspecial fun craft that my kiddos ate up. We had chickens for about three years that is why there are brown eggs.
I cracked the top and poured the runny egg out then just add dirt grass seeds and water. We made these for Activity Days so I had individual baskets made out of paper cups. Once the grass grew we cut the hair or tied ribbons
I am the mom of 5 charming children. We have a good life but it is chaos sometimes utterly. My husband Tim does his best to keep up

Spring Time
Set Sail into spring 2014 (maybe just maybe I can keep this up to date this year)
The Girls finishing up there activities. Mariah Gymnastics. Katelyn in Ballroom as a flapper with her best friends Emily and Emma and Savanna in a Ballet with Grace
Audrey Adores Horses it is hard to get her off these pony rides. She also enjoys and good spray in the face, but only if she is doing is to herself
I got a Thanksgiving Point Membership just for me $55 they sent an email for the museum of natural curiosity preview. We all got in free. There were no crowds and we had a blast.
We ended up taking Micah and Holly Natalie and Bradley when they came down from Montana
Katelyn Sixth Grade Graduation. PS I made the background and the mustaches and glasses
Happy Two!!!
This is a favorite thing in the summer. Slip and slide, we are sure going to miss that hill. Though probably not the injuries caused by the swing set at the bottom. Love that yard, our New (old house has lots and lots of work, sigh)

2014 Where did it go
Blogging about my New House made me realize that I have not blogged for a complete year. So here is a recap.
Beautiful beaches amazing temples. Diving/ snorkling was divine. But what did they have against picking up their trash, really its a very dirty place. This was extraordinary the last place we stayed at was three stories up with a spectacular view of ocean and yes there was our own private jacuzzi on the balcony. We also loved to visit this temple that looks so much like the one in the movies where Jesus came to the Nephites. We took ourselves on this tour because the awesome travel agent desk at our 1/2 star resort (the first one) booked us, took our money and then did not call the tour company. so woke early took a ferry and then nobody picked us up. so we rented a little car and had an adventure on our own.

Bright Green & Turquiose Stripe Girls Room
Routed Board and Bat
Even though I don't have the finished pictures yet and I forgot to take before pictures. Here is our second girls room. Lucky girl, her room was the most hideous, there wasn't even a window sill. It was painted two shades of white before and not well, might I add.
I learned how to use the router for this one. We did a lot of board and bat in our other house but I didn't like how it fit together, especially when we didn't remove the baseboards. I want to do something similar in my dining room but I wanted to practice in a room that would not be seen by me so much. So we first build the window sill. I think we did okay but Tim is not a perfectionist and neither am I, but I do aspire to be. Then I tore out the baseboards, I had Tim route them because he was refusing to buy me a router table (house hadn't sold) and I can't manipulate the router with these broken paws. But by the end of this project he bought and happily set up my router table and I have since used it to finish the project. We added shelves and a bit of decor but basically, besides that pink chalkboard door she is getting (she wanted beaded curtains on the closet but I couldn't find some that would hide the mess) this is it.

Our New House Picture Frame Molding
We bought a new house last October, which has been crazy all by itself. Nobody ever told me that moving with 5 kids was easy but I figured how hard can it be. I had the garage full to the brim with boxes so that we could show our house. But that was just a meager start of what we had in store. My husband elected to not use movers at the last minute, he is a bit too fugal to pay people to carry his belongings. He being Elders Quorum President did not want to make a call for help. So the first load we with a few neighborhood kids filled the 26ft truck. Then in our new neighborhood again with the husband not calling but he blames me because obviously I should have called, I guess alot of wives called him to help them when their families moved (figures men just can't ask for help). We had one family (lets call them the Saviors) help us unload all our heavy food storage. But we were not done for the day, oh no we had to get that truck back so we wouldn't have to pay an extra day. So back to Pleasant Grove we went and begun to load the second truck, oh and did I mention that we did not even think of getting a sitter so our children suffered through. Luckily it was 5pm and our neighbor called a few guys who I think helped us for a good 5 hours, with the heavy stuff. Why oh why do I love solid wood furniture, mostly scratch and dents from Pottery Barn. Its funny Tim was helping another family move (yes I know he will help all the world move but will not call one person to help us) he said he loved their Ikea furniture easy to move. Oh I will remember that next time we want to move we will just set the house on fire instead.
Yes moving was crazy all by itself that coupled with the stress of not selling our house before hand, I know we are not the brightest of brights. But good news it closed finally this past weekend! Right after the move, my hands went numb. Every morning I woke up to no feeling in my hands. I tried to get along and just wiggle them run them under cold water, thinking it was just the strain of moving but then they started to flare up and the pain was pretty unmanageable. So off to the doctor, and the diagnosis was double carpol tunnel. Surgery on both hands. Ya this new (older) house that is almost entirely painted yellow with poor touchups and horrible molding didn't look to bad after all, I kinda like yellow because the thought of painting was too much. After all I was driving the kids 20 minutes away three times a day for school cuz I felt bad for pulling them out in the middle of everything.
Long story, long, sorry about that. I did start painting my great room with 25ft ceilings about 3 wks post surgery. We still have alot of work to do in the great room so I will share my living room which is right now my favorite room in the house
This is the before, actually I had already painted the lower part white, the entire room was yellow when we moved in.
This is after. The grey was the hardest to figure out its Benjamin Moore Stonington. I painted this room about 4 different colors in different spots. all were too blue or green, I even bought a can of paint and started painting but it was not the mood I wanted in here. Then after reading how so many people like stonington I bought a can and just went for it. And no lie I hated the color at first it was totally khaki, it did not look like the sample but I kept painting and after it dried it was better then I could imagine. And yes it looks better in person and the yellow looked worse, I promise
The picture frame molding was a complete no brainer. There was already wainscotting so I painted the bottom white and cut most of these the frames myself. I had a bit of trouble finding the right molding, the type I went with is the same on both sides not bigger on one side. like a picture frame. I love that about it because it made it so I didn't have to think about which side to cut 45%. I'm pretty proud that I learned how to use the chop saw. Molding was from Lowes and lamps from Costco. Tim had a heart attach when I brought them home because we hadn't sold our house, but they were the last ones and I needed to have them. Besides I have never bought lamps brand new before.
