Primary Activity: The Game of LIFE

For our Primary Activity this past Spring we played a giant game of LIFE

Agency, choices and Blessing Card

Rules

The Children were split up in groups using color coordinated name tags.  They were then directed to their families car, were they began there jaunt through life.  On the course there were different colored circles signifying different questions.  Agency, Choice and Blessing Cards.  

Each Group had a Teacher Guide them through.  Rolling the dice, and answering the question of the color they landed on.  Agency-Green, Choices-Orange and Blessing- Blue.  I tried to post a copy of the questions I wrote but I am special and cannot figure it out.  The most difficult part of set up was the cars that I built out of a giant cardboard box and then put wood inside for the structure integrity and so the kids could drive the cars, by holding the planks up and walking.  This was super fun at first but got old for the older kids, by the end they were outside walking which was completely fine.  We have a small primary so this worked for us

There were times on the game board when the group was directed to stop because of a sign and they could get out of their car.  Our four stations were.  Family Home Evening-to experience what that is supposed to look like, Sunday Jars- to think of activities good for Sundays, Red Light Green light- because it went with the theme and this is supposed to be fun, also teaches obedience. and playing with cars on a rug- teaching the importance safety wise of obeying the prophets and commandments
